Black Tempest – Quartzite
The quarry of this quartzite, really distinctive in structure, color, and mineralogical composition, is located in the southwest of the state of Bahia in Brazil. Qualified employees and the use of state-of-the-art technologies and environmentally friendly quarrying methods guarantee the sustainable and sustainable extraction of this natural stone. The quarry is located in a structurally weak area, which meant that significant investments were necessary to connect both the quarry and the more than 10,000 residents to the drinking water supply. The annual production of rough blocks is very limited and is around 1,500 tonnes.
Black Tempest is an anthracite-colored quartzite with characteristic white quartz veins and black bands of mica schist that give this natural stone its unique character and add timeless beauty to any surface finish or application.
