Quartzite belongs to the metamorphic rocks. High temperature and pressure ensured that from the porous sandstone emerged a consistent and polishable rock that consists almost entirely of quartz. Pure quartzites are the most weather-resistant rocks that exist. Thanks to its high compressive strength and abrasion resistance, the rock is suitable for floors, facades, and many indoor and outdoor applications.
