The Filigrana collection consists of eight pieces made from a variety of marbles, each intersected by a delicate brass thread.
Inspired by the ancient jewellery technique that uses fine metal wires, meticulously worked and affixed to a precious base, this series incorporates square-section brass filaments that divide the stone into rectangular and trapezoidal shapes. Like shards of light, the finely polished metal surfaces emerge as peaks from the stone, creating a refined weave that imparts rhythm and cohesion to the composition. The proportional relationship between the individual geometric fields gives each piece its own unique balance, turning every panel into an accomplished graphic artwork with a striking visual impact.
Filigrana is designed by Draw Studio and crafted from Azul Aran, Verde Lapponia, Beola Nera, Rosa Norvegia, Quarzite Tiffany, Noir Aubisque, Vitoria Regia, and Azul Bahia marbles, with solid natural brass filaments.
